Programs

Our program runs September thru May, from 9:00 AM – 11:45 AM or 12:00 PM, with extended day options. The work of a child is PLAY!  At WWP we create an environment where the children explore and create together with skilled, caring adults. The children learn new skills that foster their social, emotional, intellectual, physical, and language development. Community building is an integral part of our program.

Pre-Kindergarten: 4/5 year olds (must be 4 as of September 1st)

The Butterflies Class consists of free play, small and large group activities, where the children gain skills in pre-reading, pre-writing, early math and science, social/emotional awareness, and motor skills. Schedule options include 3, 4, or 5 mornings per week, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Lunch Bunch until 1:00 PM and some extended days.

Preschool: 3 year olds (must be 3 as of September 1st)

The Caterpillar Class allows children to develop many skills through play, such as; learning to use their words and solve problems, being creative through art, building, dramatic play, exploring their environment and using their small and large muscles. Schedule options include 2, 3, 4 or 5 mornings per week, 9:00 AM–12:00, Lunch Bunch until 1:00 PM and some extended days.

Toddlers: 2 year olds (must be 2 as of September 1st)

The Ladybugs Class provides your toddler with an opportunity to spend time with other children his or her age in a loving, supportive environment. This time of quality play interaction provides a healthy foundation for the coming school years. Schedule options include 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 mornings per week, 9:00 – 11:45 AM and Lunch Bunch until 1:00 PM.

Tuition

We believe quality preschool should be available to and affordable for all families. Using the tuition guide, each family commits to a monthly tuition based on their income and family size. All families are also encouraged to make an additional Fair Share donation to Whittier Wildflowers that is voluntary and tax-deductible. In addition to other donations raised by the school, this model results in affordable tuition and a sustainable program with high quality teachers. See the '23 - '24 Tuition Guide for more details.

We accept Early Learning Scholarships from Think Small. We encourage families who are eligible to apply. Here is the link for more information and to apply:  Pathway 1 Early Learning Scholarships - Think Small
